JDs is a company that specialises in providing high quality mobile car detailing and valeting services to a wide range of private and corporate customers.

The business was set up by Darren & Paul to provide the ultimate in car detailing combined with a totally professional and friendly service. We have years of experience within the industry and are totally committed to providing the best possible finish for every type of car.

Every car photo on this site (apart from those supplied by Flow Images on the photography page) is of a vehicle that we have detailed. We never use stock pictures!

What Is Car Detailing?

The term "detailing" can be a little confusing and lots of people seem to have different views on the actual definition. If you are not sure what car detailing is then

The "What is Detailing?" question is one we get asked almost every day and although there isn't really one globally adopted definition, the answer we think comes the closest is:

"The systematic rejuvenation and protection of the various surfaces of a vehicle."

Ok, at first glance, this may not seem to help too much in giving an answer, but to break it down:

Systematic - we use a series of well ordered procedures on your car to achieve the most effective and efficient results
Rejuvenation - what we do is aimed at (within the limits of your requirements) getting your car back to showroom condition and in many cases, even beyond that. What is involved in doing this varies from car to car but can include processes such as machine polishing, paintwork cleansing, claying, leather conditioning, engine bay re-conditioning, glass polishing, etc. None of these in itself define "detailing" but are simply amongst the tools available to a professional detailer
Protection - Once the vehicle has been "rejuvenated" we will usually apply various products to help keep it in top condition. These products range from waxes and sealants to leather conditioners, UV vinyl protection and upholstery dirt repellants
Various surfaces - Cars are quite naturally made from many different materials and they all require their own specific type of treatment and understanding

Quite simply, car detailing is all about the "detail". It tends to be very labour intensive and to get the best results it requires a professional detailer with a well trained eye and a lot of understanding of the various vehicle finishes.
